Molly’s at the Market and 13 Monaghan welcome the fans of the “Battling Buckeyes” of The Ohio State University to New Orleans! We wish the Buckeyes all the best in the upcoming national championship game.

While New Orleans is my home, my family’s roots reach back to Ohio. My father was born in Zanesville and I still have family in the Columbus area. To say the least, I was indoctrinated into the Buckeye Nation from an early age.

For example, when I was a boy spent several summers visiting with family, who lived outside of Columbus. During those visits it was very common kids to spend afternoons replaying Ohio State/Michigan games -- both real and imagined. To the best of my recollection – the Buckeyes always won those backyard skirmishes with “that team up north.”

When you are out enjoying this historic city, please feel free to stop into Molly’s at the Market and 13 Monaghan, enjoy a libation or two, and maybe – just maybe -- you will meet someone wearing Scarlet and Gray willing trade some Wolverine jokes.

10.31.07 - Halloween Parade!

The festivities for this year start at 10am, with the actual parade leaving Molly's at 5:30pm. The "standard fare" of entertainment will accompany the parade, consisting of (but not limited to) a firetruck, bands, jugglers, stiltwalkers, monkeys (I wish), etc. This is the Traditional Jim Monaghan Parade. If you want a seat on one of the carriages, please contact us to make sure there are seats left to reserve. Carriage seats with throws, etc. is $75.

12.28.06 - Free Sugarbowl Tickets!

This Sunday, Dec. 31st, come by Molly's between 2 and 6 pm for your chance to win two free tickets to the sold out Sugarbowl. Maggie will be judging and will give the tickets to those who are the "Most Irish". What is the most Irish? I'm not sure, I guess you'd have to ask Maggie, since it's up to her.

Anyways, the tickets are in Section 632, Row 9, and if you want a virtual preview of what could be yours, just click here. If you aren't lucky enough to win these or score your own, head over to Molly's anyways for the big game. We're the Official Notre Dame Headquarters in New Orleans, so come on down at gameday, we'll have drink specials and Corned Beef and Cabbage stew to feast upon.

10.14.06 - Food and Parades!

Molly's Kitchen is back open! Now from 6pm to 3:30am, you can get food at the bar or delivered to you. A menu will be up soon, but if you can't wait, come on in and take a look at it for yourself.

Also, for those of you who are curious, we have a map for this year's parade, shown below:

You can pick this up in handy paper form at the bar, but it doesn't come with the custon folding and wear that this one has. That costs extra. See Will for pricing and details.
